McNeese State University is located in sunny Lake Charles, one of the fastest growing cities in Louisiana with a warm climate all year round.  Founded in 1939, McNeese is a comprehensive institution which awards bachelor and master degrees.  Our approximately 7,500 students can choose from more than 90 degree programs offered by the Colleges of Business, Education, Engineering, Graduate Studies, Liberal Arts, Nursing and Science.
